School Visits

As a former distinguished-rank school teacher with more than twenty-five years of experience, Connie is very comfortable in the classroom and loves to visit schools. She is happy to tailor presentations to the school’s particular needs. During her visit, she will gladly personalize and autograph books purchased prior to the school visit. Connie looks forward to making the day fun, rewarding and memorable.

Guidelines for Successful School Visits

Before the Visit

Contact: Arrange author visits at least 4 months in advance.

Prep: Please read Connie’s books and explore her website before the author visit.

Book Sales: Thank you for encouraging students to order Connie’s books by sending order forms home with students. Order forms should be sent home at least 4 weeks in advance and returned to the school prior to the event. This will ensure that students who have preordered books will receive autographed copies at the visit. Books can also be ordered directly through a local bookstore and brought to the author visit for Connie to sign. Click here to download an order form.

Publicity: Please let local media know about the author event. Connie is happy to give interviews prior to the visit.

Travel: If the visit is outside WV, Maryland or Washington D.C., please work with Connie to arrange travel and hotel accommodations.

The Day of the Visit

Arrival: Books will be autographed at the school’s convenience on the day of the event.

Scheduling: Allow at least 10 minutes between author sessions.

After the Visit
